“What　did　you　do　today?”“今天干什么了？”

One　day　a　man　came　home　from　work　to　find　total　mayhem　at　home．　The　kids　were　outside　still　in　their　pajamas　playing　in　the　mud　and　muck．　There　were　empty　food　boxes　and　wrappers　all　around．　As　he　proceeded　into　the　house,　he　found　an　even　bigger　mess．　Dishes　on　the　counter,　dog　food　spilled　on　the　floor,　and　a　broken　glass　under　the　table．　The　family　room　was　strewn　with　toys　and　various　items　of　clothing,　and　a　lamp　had　been　knocked　over．　
He　headed　up　the　stairs,　stepping　over　toys,　to　look　for　his　wife．　He　was　becoming　worried　that　she　might　be　ill,　or　that　something　had　happened　to　her．　He　found　her　in　the　bedroom,still　in　bed　with　her　pajamas　on,reading　a　book．　She　looked　up　at　him,　smiled,　and　asked　how　his　day　went．　He　looked　at　her　bewildered　and　asked,　“What　happened　heretoday?”
She　again　smiled　and　answered,　“You　know　everyday　when　you　come　home　from　work　and　ask　me　what　I　did　today?”
“Yes,”　was　his　reply．
She　answered,　“Well,　today　I　didn't　do　it！”
一天，男人下班回家，发现家里乱成一团。孩子们在室外仍然穿着睡衣，在烂泥里玩耍；到处是空食品盒子和包装纸。进屋后，他发现更乱了：桌子上杯盘狼藉，狗食撒了一地，桌子底下有一个破碎的玻璃杯。家庭娱乐室满地都是玩具和各式各样的衣物，灯也被碰倒了。
他踩着玩具上楼去找妻子，担心她可能病了或出了什么事。他在卧室看到她穿着睡衣还躺在床上看书。她抬头笑眯眯地看着他，问他今天可好。他迷惑不解地看着她，问道：“今天家里出什么事啦？”
她再次微笑着说：“你知道，你每天一下班到家就问我今天干什么啦？”
“是的，”他说。
她应道:“对啦，今天我什么都没干！”
