我的立场（趣味英语）

某位议员曾在被问及对威士忌的态度时说：
“如果你是指那种毒害心灵、污损身体、亵渎家庭、煽动罪恶的毒酒，那么我是反对的。但如果你是指欢庆圣诞的琼浆、抵挡冬寒的屏障、回笼所需资金以安抚残疾儿童的应纳税饮料，那么我是支持的。这就是我的立场，而且不会妥协！”（刘宗亚提供）
MY　POSITION
A　Con g ressman　was　once　asked　about　his　attitude　toward　whiske y．“If　y ou　mean　the　demon　drink　that　p oisons　the　mind,p ollutes　the　bod y,desecrates　famil y　life,and　inflames　sinners,then　I'm　a g ainst　it．But　if　y ou　mean　the　elixir　of　Christmas　cheer,the　shield　a g ainst　winter　chill,the　taxable　p otion　that　p uts　needed　funds　into　p ublic　coffers　to　comfort　little　cri pp led　children,then　I'm　for　it．This　is　m y　p osition,and　I　will　not　com p romise！”
